Overview

The Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) invites everyone with an interest in residential aged care to provide feedback on our development of pricing and costing advice.

In our Consultation Paper on the Pricing Framework for Australian Residential Aged Care Services 2025–26, you can have your say across a range of topics.

This year’s focus areas include:

  • Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) branching structure and funding model
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specialisation and base care tariffs
  • homeless specialisation and base care tariffs
  • residential respite care
  • proposed changes to IHACPA’s residential aged care pricing principles.

We also welcome general feedback on matters about our role in residential aged care and residential respite care. However, feedback on the specific questions asked is encouraged.

Why your views matter

Everyone with an interest in residential aged care and residential respite care is encouraged to take part and provide feedback on a range of questions in the paper.

Your feedback will help inform the pricing and costing advice we provide to the Australian Government.
