IHACPA Work Program and Corporate Plan 2023–24

Closed 7 Apr 2023

Opened 8 Mar 2023

Overview

The Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) invited all interested parties to provide comment on the draft IHACPA Work Program and Corporate Plan 2023–24.

On 12 August 2022, amendments to the National Health Reform Act 2011 came into effect, changing the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority’s name to the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority and expanding its role to include the provision of aged care costing and pricing advice to the Commonwealth Government. This is the first Work Program and Corporate Plan that integrates these expanded functions.

The consultation was open from 8 March to 7 April 2023.

All submissions are published below, except for where respondents specifically identified sections that they believed should be kept confidential due to commercial or other reasons.

IHACPA retains, at its absolute discretion, the right not to publish any submissions or part thereof, where it considers it appropriate to do so. Circumstances in which IHACPA may consider making the decision not to publish either the whole submission or part thereof, include that the submission:

  • may contain information that is commercially sensitive
  • is factually contentious – that is, contains data, methodologies or processes that are questionable
  • raises individual privacy concerns.
