Closes 18 Jul 2025

Opened 11 Jun 2025

Overview

IHACPA has released the Consultation Paper on the Pricing Framework for Australian Support at Home Aged Care Services 2026–27

We invite you to have your say on in-home aged care pricing with public consultation now open.

The Australian Government’s Support at Home program will combine existing in-home aged care services into a single, simplified program designed to assist older people to live independently at home for longer.

Our role is to provide evidence-based pricing advice to government to ensure funding reflects the costs of delivering safe, high-quality services.

Have your say

Our consultation paper covers many key areas of the Support at Home service list and includes questions about:

  • pricing principles

  • data and information requirements

  • pricing methodology

  • pricing adjustments

  • priorities for future pricing advice.

The online survey includes all 7 questions from the consultation paper. You need only respond to questions of interest or relevance to you. You do not need to respond to all questions.

We have also included some questions that seek information about you, your role and your perspective. Answers to these questions will help us to further understand your responses.

We ask you to provide your name and email contact details so that we may contact you if we have any questions about your feedback.

Read the consultation paper.

What happens next

By having your say, you help to ensure the pricing advice we provide to government meets the needs of older people and the in-home aged care sector, as well as reflecting the costs of delivering safe, high-quality services.

We will use the feedback gathered from this consultation to develop the Pricing Framework for Australian Support at Home Aged Care Services 2026–27.
